Community Borehole in Bombo
Project Summary
The Borehole Water Supply System in Bombo was successfully completed and is now fully operational, providing sustainable access to clean and safe water for the local community. This project was designed to address the water scarcity challenges faced by Bombo residents, improve public health, and support economic activities dependent on water. By drilling a deep borehole, installing a pumping system, and constructing water storage and distribution infrastructure, we have significantly enhanced the quality of life for the community.
Project Objectives
- Goal: To provide Bombo residents with reliable, clean, and potable water.
- Secondary Goals:
- To reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases in the area.
- To support local agriculture and small businesses that require water for operations.
- To contribute to the overall improvement in sanitation and public health.
Sustainability and Future Plans
The project’s success lies in its sustainability. The trained local team, the maintenance committee, and the established water management systems will ensure the borehole continues to serve the community for years to come. Additionally, we have scheduled regular check-ups and maintenance plans to ensure the infrastructure remains in good working condition.
Moving forward, we are also exploring the possibility of extending the water distribution network to nearby communities that could benefit from this project.
